CSU has an online graduate certificate where students take all their courses alongside other graduate student peers. CSU has 4 graduate-level courses that can be used toward a degree, or even transferred between other institutions. Many who do well with the cert go on to get their masters. I'm a fan of CSU's programs, but I'd encourage you to look around more before making a decision. Many companies/agencies fund SE students, but some will only do it for accredited programs. CSU is unique because they've been offering online accredited SE education sense 2009. The department was founded by Dr. Ron Sega, the current Chief Technology Officer for the U.S. Army Futures Command and former NASA astronaut. It really doesn't get the credit it deserves.
