Transcript:
Speaker 1
This seems very much a part of the perspective of Robert Ingersoll, the 19th century agnostic activist. He declares, happiness is the only good. The time to be happy is now. The place to be happy is here. The way to be happy is to make others so. What marvelous, down -to -earth common sense! It wraps commitment to help others into a rewarding life. Reinforcing good behavior by spreading the ethical news seems a noble goal in life. What better way to promote ethics than to see how it's in our self -interest? I'm struck by how historical figures who have strong moral conscience seem to live such flourishing lies.)
