(highlight:: Those sweet kid mementos are priceless and cherished memories of when you were a wee little thing with a toothy grin and chubby little fingers. When the world was new and exciting to you and your mom. Everything was a milestone, and each milestone was precious and made your mom realize she loved you even more than she thought she already did.
Each little artifact can bring back a million little memories. Like how you smelled after playing in the afternoon sun. Or the way you giggled at something silly. Or how you were really brave and did something so little but so very big.
You did beautiful and irreplaceable things in your mother’s heart as you grew up, and the memories fade over time. That’s why moms keep all the little things that “don’t matter,” or that “we don’t want.”
It’s because those little things that clutter up the spare rooms are the beautiful little moments of a life. A small child that grew so quickly.
Your mom loves you. That’s why she’s held on to so many of the memories of the sweet things you did. You mean the world to her, and she just wants to hold on to you for forever. ❤️)
