I so often feel like my partner was made for heaven, not earth...where taxes don't need filed and cars don't need stickers and dishes don't need washed and there are no such things as stranded socks and spoons ending up in the glove compartment. He belongs in an airy, ethereal world where objects only exist when you have a need for them, where footprints and dirt disappear as if it were merely a video game. This earth is too black and white for their colorful souls 😥

I love my wife but am divorcing her. The biggest issue in your story, and all of our stories, is not the messiness or the hyperfocus or even the irresponsibility. That's all cute, surface-level stuff. The biggest issue is not being heard. To live with someone that has untreated ADHD is to live with, and ultimately accept, your wants and needs not being met. In fact, they're likely not even heard. And what's obvious is that love depends not just on being heard, but having those words acted on and cared for and treated highly. But if you're unheard, all of those things fall away. That is why I say I love my wife...but I doubt she loves me. She can't.
