My wife and I try this thing called the rule of two. Every two weeks you plan an evening together, every two months you plan a weekend, and every two years you plan a week. We have a whiteboard up in the bedroom with dates for these things and I think it really helps us be intentional and keep doing things together. We've only got one kid but the second is on her way, and I think it helps us be intentional about spending time together.
