As for what readers there are, it is my understanding that there are three types:Selfhosted, that you have on your own server somewhere. You need to hook up database and probably php. The best one seems to be FreshRSS, followed by Tiny Tiny RSS. There are some other technologies here, like RSS Bridge and RSS Hub.Web services that you log into through your browser. They are usually paid, with free plans being limited. Inoreader seems to be the best one, followed by feedly. Convenient option.Small clients that run on your desktop. No need to set up a database, just install and run. Most of them are ancient. I use FluentReader thats modern, although it seems the development has stalled. I know there is Reeder 5, raven reader and rss guard too.
